Girls Weekend, complete with a visit to Bridals by Lori

Last weekend I went to Atlanta to visit my Aunt with my Best Friend/Maid of Honor to have an epic girls weekend. We did the LivingSocial 5k Dance Party which was an absolute blast!
We also marked several things off of the wedding planning to-do list, which was a relief. I got the needed supplies to make my veil, my garters, table numbers and a few other decoration basics.
The biggest thing we marked off the list though was buying (well putting down money) on my dress!
           Eeeeek!
I am sooooo soooo excited about my dress!
The original plan was to just go look at Bridals by Lori, because lets face it that's every girls dream now. Then I was going to purchase a dress I had previously tried on. Well, I tried on about 8 dresses at Bridals by Lori, and I ended up really liking one of them.
 Long story short....
we all liked it,
we debated the price,
we debated the first time customer discount
and how much we would save if we bought it right then,
they put a veil on me,
I walked the "runway" (you know the one every girl walks on in the show),
every girl working the floor awed at me because apparently
the dress I ended up loving was brand new and no one had tried it on yet,
I literally felt like every eye in the room was on me...
even with other girls strutting around in wedding gowns,
I cried like a baby cause I loved the way the dress looked on me,
we debated the length (it was a millimeter too short, but it was also not the right size),
and eventually after a lot of debating we agreed it was time to
 SAY YES TO THE DRESS.

I never in a million years thought I would get my wedding dress at Bridals by Lori, but man their customer service was amazing and their gowns are just so stunning. Also to put a cherry on top of the whole day Lori herself told me I was beautiful not once but twice!

I found out later that day that the other store I visited discontinued the dress I had previously picked, and that there was no way to get it anymore. Thank goodness I had decided on another dress because I would have been absolutely devastated otherwise, and I really think I will be much happier in my dress :) I am so excited to revel my dress...but that's gonna have to wait for a while...Like over a year!

My Poor Pup

Dusk is on the Banfield wellness plan, and he has been for over 3 years now. I have always liked having him on it, I originally put him on it to save some money. He got heartworms and needed to be treated pretty vigorously, so the cost of treatment was going to be an absurd amount, and if I put him on the plan I would save thousands of dollars. So, obviously he got put on the wellness plan and got treated. He has been very very healthy since then. It has really given me peace of mind over the years because it keeps him up to date on his shots, and the front desk always calls when he is due for shots or check ups.

However the past few months I have lost a bit of my peace of mind, and gained a little frustration and annoyance towards them.

In March I had to take him to a different Banfield than the one we frequent, so his records had to be transferred, and I was told at the time it would be easy to transfer it back...Well that was wrong. Dusk and Clemson's records both got lost. Long story short, after 4 or 5 hours on the phone with corporate, our normal vet office, and the vet office we recently visited a temporary fix was made. It was a huge hassle, and very very frustrating. I questioned when that happened if I should take Dusk off their plan.

This week, I needed to get a copy of Dusk's records to send to the Realtor that is renting Cole and I our house for next year. I went to Banfield to get a copy and was informed that Dusk was actually due for all of his shots, and I mean all of them...he needed 3 shots and several tests run. He wasn't just a few days due, he was over a month overdue! I never received a call to set up an appointment, which is normal vet protocol.  I was beyond annoyed, I feel like Dusk has just been swept under the rug and forgotten, and I pay way too much money towards this wellness plan for him and I to be treated this way. He has a yearly tooth cleaning and needs to get a several teeth extracted at the same time, but after that I am very seriously debating on removing him from the wellness plan.
