During the summer and winter break Clemson is an absolute ghost town. Clemson is a college town, so when the University is on break literally more than 3/4 of the people that live in the area are gone back to there hometowns. I have spent an entire summer in Clemson and there are seriously some great advantages and a few disadvantages as well.
The advantages of living in a college town during the holidays:
1. You can grocery shop on a Sunday and not have to maneuver around 8,543 people on the same aisle as you. I just want a jar of peanut butter!
2. A restaurant that normally has a 20-30 minute wait will literally take you directly to a table, and the service is on point.
3. Bars are literally empty, the specials are great, and you don't have to deal with the entitled asses that are inevitable in a college town.
4. Campus is literally empty, minus orientation days, making it perfect to walk your dog or photograph to day away.
5. The school gym is empty, speeding up your workouts by approximately 30%
The disadvantages of living in a college town during the holidays:
1. Literally no one is in town, making it hard to hang out with anyone.
I would say the advantages out weigh the disadvantages.
