Happy Memorial Day!

     First of all Happy Memorial Day, and thank you to all the people who have or are serving our country! I really appreciate everything you all do for us. A special shout out to my big brother, I am so proud of you and thankful for the time you spent serving our country and all you sacrificed. I love you bruder!
      I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend as much as we did over here! Cole came up to Charlotte to spend the weekend with me and Dusk, and I can't think of anything that could have made the weekend better. I cooked Cole dinner Friday night, and we took Dusk for a walk up to TCBY that is in a nice shopping center at the end of the road I live on. Saturday we spent the day shopping and ended it with Date Night out at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was sooooooo good, which it always is, and it was definitely a great date out with my fiance! Sunday was spent playing tennis, fetch with Dusk, lounging by the pool and we ended the night bowling and playing pool to celebrate my roommate's birthday. Then today we went with our friends out to one of the big malls in the area, and we all ended up go go-kart racing and played putt-putt, it was a blast! We really couldn't have had a better weekend, and I am so happy that I was able to spend the weekend with my little family and some of my friends!

Dusk's Love/Hate Relationship

    Dusk is a  very unique doggy. He is a very picky eater and not very cuddly, but he's very gentle and very very smart. My roommate likes him, and Dusk likes my roommate...most of the time. Dusk meets him at the door when he comes home, plays fetch with him and sometimes begs him for pets. Dusk Loves him, but he also randomly acts like he hates him. Sometime when my roommate walks by Dusk will run and hide under the coffee table. Other times when my roommate tries to get Dusk to do tricks he will do most of them then decide randomly that he shouldn't be listening to him and comes to me and sits beside me waiting for me to direct him to do the next trick. It's really freaking hilarious to watch, cause Dusk clearly has an internal conflict on weather he Loves or Hates my roommate.

I never win anything!

       I have the worst possible luck when it comes to winning drawings, contest and giveaways...I literally never win! I mean never ever!  So sometime last month I noticed there was a huge wedding photography giveaway going on for any wedding in Columbia during 2014. The giveaway is from Very Important Date! Photography, and several other sponsors teamed up to add to the amazing giveaway. The moment I saw it I thought "wow, that would be awesome, but there is no way in hell Cole and I will win that, cause lets face it I have awful luck." I was actually hanging out with my maid of honor when I first saw it, she insisted for me to enter, and I honestly contemplated entering it a few times cause I just didn't think I would win in a million years.
       Well a month later (as in yesterday) I opened my email and saw two emails in my inbox from the woman who runs Very Important Date! Photography, the first one was a general mass email to all the people who entered, informing us who won the giveaway, and the second one was a congratulatory email to me informing me that we had won the giveaway! I seriously re-read the email like 10 times before it sunk in that we just won an amazing wedding package! To be honest I am still in shock, but a very happy, very thankful and very excited shock! I am excited to work with these vendors and sponsors over the next year or so to make our vision come to life for our perfect day.
